It was a standard December afternoon when our driver headed out for an Orlando airport transportation pickup. But this trip would soon become anything but standard. When we connected with the family, we could sense the mix of excitement and distress. Their magical vacation had hit a bump before it even started: their young daughter had taken a tumble and busted her chin open. The initial plan to go straight to their resort was immediately put on hold. For us, the family's well-being was the only priority.
Our first stop was the ER. We made sure the ride was smooth and calm, doing everything we could to ease a parent's worst fears. After they were checked in, we took the rest of the family and their luggage to the resort to get them settled. Then, we drove back to the ER to wait. Once the little one was patched up, the journey continued. We made a stop at a pharmacy for medicine and some much-needed snacks, followed by a quick run through Chick-fil-A for a comforting meal. Finally, with everyone cared for, we brought them to their resort to officially begin their vacation.
