The Genie VIP Cadillac Escalade ESV on the route to a Disney resort

How clean should a car seat you did not pack actually be?

Clean enough that you would put your own child in it without thinking twice, which is a higher bar than most people expect and the right one. This guest mentioned the SUV and the equipped car seats in the same breath, both super clean, and that pairing comes up in our reviews more than any other. It is not a coincidence. A parent handing a toddler into a seat somebody else's toddler used last week is doing a quick, mostly unconscious inspection, and crumbs in the buckle or a stain on the harness fails it instantly. Our Graco convertible seats are cleaned between guests, not between weeks, and they are installed before you reach the vehicle so you can look at them properly rather than in a hurry. Inspect the fit if you want to. Nobody minds. It is part of why families choose private transportation to Disney World over whatever turns up.

Check the expiry date if you want to. Car seats have one, moulded into the shell, and any operator who cannot show you theirs on request is not one to hand a child to.

What does right on time mean for a resort drop off?

It means the day works out the way you planned it. Arrival day at a Disney resort has a shape to it. Bags go to bell services, you get your bands sorted, and if you land in the right window you can still make an afternoon in a park before everybody runs out of energy. Miss that window and the day becomes a write off you paid for. So the timing of a transfer is not really about the transfer. The drive from MCO to the Walt Disney World resort area is around 22 miles and typically 25 to 40 minutes depending on which resort you are heading to, and the variable is almost never the road. It is whether somebody was there when you walked out. This guest said they got to their destination right on time, and that is the job. Our MCO to Disney World guide walks through the arrival day timing.

Tell us the room. If you already know your building number, say so at booking and the chauffeur will drop you there rather than at the main lobby, which at the larger Disney resorts can be a long walk with luggage.

Why is an SUV the default for the MCO to Disney run?

Luggage height, mostly. A sedan boot is a fixed shape and a family's bags are not, so the moment you add a stroller or a pack and play the geometry stops working and somebody ends up holding something on their lap for forty minutes. An SUV has vertical space, which is what actually solves it. Both our Genie Comfort GMC Yukon XL and the Genie VIP Cadillac Escalade ESV take five large suitcases, and both have a second row that accepts two convertible car seats with an adult still able to sit between or beside them. Beyond six passengers the Genie XL Mercedes Sprinter is the honest answer rather than squeezing. We size the vehicle from your bag count and your car seat needs when you book, which is a two minute conversation that prevents a bad ten minutes at the kerb. Start it on our MCO airport transfer page or with The Genie Transportation Services directly.

Strollers change the answer too. A folded full size stroller takes roughly the space of a large suitcase, so a family of four with one stroller is really a family of four with five bags as far as the vehicle is concerned.
